A professional woman with episodes of sacroiliac pain over a long period.


The pain was located in the low back and radiating into both buttocks. The pain had started after the birth of her third child six years previously and was also bad after her following pregnancy. The pain was aggravated by sitting and standing for long periods and also carrying the youngest child after sometimes for very short periods.


Upon examination tests indicated a longstanding sacroiliac joint problem and also a low back problem. The patient was completely symptom free after 11 treatments using a combination of soft tissue techniques and pelvic articulation. The patient has had no recurrence of symptoms for more than eighteen months.
